My Wife's Cute Discovery

My wife found a cute orage bumble bee on our balcony today.  I have not seen this kind of bumble bee here in Vancouver area.  Especially in Canada, it is way too cold for bees in the winter to be flying around (January).  It is quite cute and looks like it is smiling in this photo.  I wonder how it got here and where it came from in the first place.
