I went back to Taiwan with my family this year, first time in 20 years.

We bought new pillow covers (Taiwanese flower style) for our sofa.

Product Review: Animal Planet Pet Stairs

Previously, we had a 3-step-doggie steps for our chihuahuas.

However, it was still not tall enough for our small dogs.
To climb up to our bed (they sleep on human beds....don`t ask me why.)

Anyways, they needed a 4-step pet stairs, and we finally found one after all these years.
It is a perfectly built, strong, wooden set of stairs.
(It is foldable and you do not have to assemble it.)

It does take some time for him to get used to it.

My Second Chihuahua's Birthday

June 13th was my small dog's birthday.  I can't believe that she is 4 years old now.
Time sure flies by when you have kids.

I did not even feel like it has been 4 years...

My wife cooked a nice hamburger patty for her, and happily, she gobbles it down!

Dog Food: Nutrience Bison Canned Meat

I went to PetSmart to buy some dog food for my two chihuahuas.

Nowdays, they have exotic pet food that sounds better than human food. haha

My dogs absolutely loved this can.  Maybe I should get it again for them....
It is amazing what they can make dog food with these days.

Happy 7th Birthday, My Chihuahua!!

My cute chihuahua turned 7 years old today!!

wow...time passes so fast!
My wife made cute decorations and hearts for him. He even wore a Hawaiian flower necklace.

It was made of chicken tenderloin, rice, carrots and other vegetables.
He is getting old but still very cute.
The face stays the same, just the body gets heavier naturally because of hormone imbalance.

My Chihuahua loves to sleep in the U-shaped Maternity Pillow meant for mothers to use to feed the babies.

I think they like the enclosed cuddly feeling of it just like blankets.  My little chihuahua also likes to use pillows.  Sometimes, they are like humans.....

Purina: Frosty Paws Dog Ice Cream

Summer is hot even for my two little chihuahuas.  I found a tub of doggie ice cream in Target.
It is made by Purina, called "Frosty Paws".  My dogs love ice cream, and they love this one.
I found this one at the ice cream section of Target store.  I was amazed that they actually have this product for dogs in Target.  It cost about 4.5 dollars plus tax.

Hand Made Dog Sleeping Bag

Here is something my wife made that is so practical for my chihuahua, which I think is brilliant.

In Japan, they started selling fancy sleeping bags for dogs who like to snug in blankets.
My wife thought: why not save money to make something practical and utilizing unwanted blankets at home?
Using thick fleece blanket not used at home and wires bought at local dollar stores, she made the sleeping bag shown below.

Both of my chihuahuas enjoy the doggie sleeping bags very much these days.

They are so cute when they snug in there.

Spring Is Here!

The weather in BC is warmer and sunnier this week.
My cute chihuahua got to bathe in the sun this week, and he truly loved it!

It has been 6 years since we got our first chihuahua.
Where did the time go?!

As usual, we gave our big boy some birthday presents.
My wife also prepared some gourmet "super lean sirloin burger patty" for him.

I could not believe that he could hold off eating the burger in front of him.

Pictures of My Smaller Chihuahua

My smaller Chihuahua is very playful but naughty.  She can be like a cat sometimes.  One moment, she can be alone the whole day, and one moment, she is jealous of someone and wants all your attention.  She also likes to compete for toys and food with my other Chihuahua.  She likes to stare at my kid eating food because when the food is dropped, she is ready to eat them off the floor.

Chihuahuas are afraid of the cold because of their small bodies and love the hot weather. 
I guess they were from Mexico after all.  haha.
My dogs love the hot summer balcony and enjoy the sunshine.  Aren't they hot?
I am not a student anymore, so I don't sit out in the sun and burn like I used to.
Summer finally arrives at the beginning of July 2010 in BC.

My Chihuahua has a habit of using pillows just like human.  Sometimes, they sleep like kids, too.

My dogs love running in the backyards and in the park.
They just look so happy and carefree and I feel bad that they stay indoor more now.
